Snez shares insights into regional touring

With a challenging year of battling pandemics worldwide, the one thing that has been greatly missed has been the magic and healing powers of music, the creators and their music junkies. As a grass-roots tourer, Snez shares insights on self-managed tours; the kilometres, the promotion and the precious connection that music nurtures.

On the road, again.

Yeehaa! Heading out on the road again. First stop ABC radio and then a house concert in Port Macquarie. Without my house concert hosts and their audiences I would not be able to live my life as a travelling musician. So thank you. - Snez

Pack all your skill sets

Heading off on tour is not all beer and skittles. Often have to leave behind my little family and head out across the countryside to a gig that I've never played before. Heading down to Wollongong, I made a stop near Picton for a small house concert. It was a rough trip, the audience numbers were low and then I got a flat tyre! Yikes! - Snez

Schedule Vital Downtime

On my way to Victoria with my little girl Ellie. We had 3 days to take a breather between gigs and stopped in at Edi Cutting. Campfires, messy hair and an impromptu radio interview. Thank goodness it wasn't live to air - I desperately needed a shower.... - Snez

Maintain Relationships

Kept it semi-local this time round, with Stewart joining me for a couple of gigs in my hometown and then off to Armidale, where I bumped into an old friend and bush poet Greg North from Winton. - Snez
