Discover the Artists of Aussietronica: From Confidence Man to Ninjarachi

Aussietronica - cover art - free playlist

The first playlist to emerge from The A&R Dept’s experimental research project is Aussietronica. It's more than just a collection of tracks; it's a curious tapestry of sound, weaving all things with that electro bop from Australia. Tickling the fringes of Indietronica, Electropop, House and EDM. As cultivated from the Share Australian Music Cooperative Playlist.

With a focus on recent releases, Aussietronica primarily holds songs from 2023 and 2024, this playlist is a testament to our commitment to bringing fresh and emerging talent into the limelight. This focus is a result of the 2 points of curation: user-submission and AI recommendations.

For the sake of clarity, the user-submitted tracks are:

  • Erin Foster

  • Rollatron

  • Timothy and the Apocalypse

  • Park Haven

  • Scooter Crisp

  • Time Meddler

The AI recommendations are:

  • Blusher

  • Luboku

  • North East Party House

  • Rino

  • Ninjarachi

  • Cherry Rype

Interestingly, I had to refresh the AI recommendations quite frequently in order to discover Australian acts. For this reason, Aussietronica stands out for its diverse range of electronic music. Each track, from DJ Seinfeld's "Now U Do" to Rollatron's "Ellie," offers a unique perspective on the genre. This playlist serves as a comprehensive guide to the varied styles and expressions within Australian electronic music, making it a must-listen for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
